The Oscar winner walked out on James last month (Mar10) after allegations of his infidelities first hit the U.S. tabloids and now reports suggest the actress is planning to divorce the TV mechanic.
Trump, who befriended James on his Celebrity Apprentice show, initially urged the couple to reconcile - but now insists he's convinced the pair will split for good.
Trump tells UsWeekly.com, "I don't think he's a changed man or will be a changed man... I don't think he can get Sandra back.
"I would imagine that Sandra has had it with everything that's happened... Too much went down."
Four mistresses have been linked to James since the cheating scandal began.
Trump admits James' alleged actions have shocked him - because the businessman thought the TV star was smarter than that.
He adds, "He's actually a nice guy. He's a tough guy, but he's a nice guy. I really liked him a lot. He's actually very shrewd and very sharp."
